David Shipps
David Shipps has already made his mark in Nashville since arriving in 2002. Working with such publishers as LifeWay, WORD, Integrity, AnderKamp Music and Praisecharts, he quickly attained over 300 arrangements and orchestrations in print. His other contributions have included custom albums, live events, and Television productions.
Whether it is a five-piece horn section or an 80-piece full orchestra, David feels comfortable writing for all ensembles and styles, ranging from big band and jazz, film scores and mood music, to symphonic and concert works, even including school and educational products.
As an orchestrator, recent projects have included a short film score, North Dakota’s “Medora Musical,” the Nashville Symphony’s “HymnSing,” the Air Force Band of the Reserve with country artist “Lonestar,” and Don Moen’s album and choral project “I Believe There is More.” Most recently, David has been working with Westpark Creative Group providing full-length production shows for Celebrity Cruise lines.
David currently resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with his wife, Elizabeth, and their sons, Drew and Dawson.
